Day-Surgery
The Day-Surgery unit at Södersjukhuset conducts day surgery in the fields of orthopaedic surgery, general surgery and urology. The unit handles the full range of procedures, from minor surgery with local anaesthetics to major (primariliy orthopaedic) theatre procedures, involving general anaesthesia. The day surgery centre is responsible for the entire chain of care with each patient: preoperative care, the operation itself and postoperative care.
